Directions for use

How To Use:

1. Build your base with matte shadows.
2. Pick up the metallic shades using a dense flat brush for a softer finish. For a fuller coverage foil effect, use your fingers or sponge applicator.
3. For a soft pearlescent glow, apply the gloss hybrid shadow ‘Manifest It’ to bare lids, using your finger, or a flat brush.
4. Finish your look and define your lash line using the hybrid gel liner shadows – Purpose or Worthy - as eyeliners.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MalibuMands from .... If you love your neutral tones, then you should take a closer look at the Empowered palette; the fantastic product formulas make this a joy to use. There are 2 gel hybrid shadows [Purpose & Worthy]; they can be used as eyeshadows, liners, or eyeshadow bases. Bold Moves is a crushed flake metallic eyeshadow, with a formula that contains real gold flakes - this formula has been used in an exclusive only-sold-on-one-online-beauty-site Obsessions palette, but this is the first time such a formula has appeared in a larger palette. Then there is Manifest It!; a gel/powder hybrid shade, that leaves a vinyl shine. Finally for new formulas are 2 wet-look metallic flakes: Limitless & Charisma are high-shine metallic eyeshadows. Then there are 2 of the brand's well-loved pearl metallics [soft shine metallic pearl shadows that build to a foil effect], 1 marbled cream/powder hybrid [maintains a cream appearance, but applies & wears like a powder], and then 9 anchoring matte shadows. The ease of blending with the mattes is superb, and the metallic formulas are creamy, don't have glitter chunks in them, and they are not too thin - Huda Beauty is my personal favourite brand when it comes to the formulas for their metallic finishes. I haven't had any problems with any of the formulas for any of the shades in this palette - everything applies smoothly and wears well all day, with no fade or creasing. I honestly can't come up with any negatives for this product as a whole, except for that the colour story is not reinventing the wheel. - At first I wasn't interested in the Empowered palette as I already own plenty of neutral eyeshadows, but after going to a store and playing with a tester & feeling the variety of textures/formulas, I was hooked and handing over my money... The Empowered palette contains the basics most people use daily for a wide variety of occasions. It's a very nice edit of universal necessities, that create year-round looks, that range from barely there, work/school, dates and big nights out. Due to the unoriginal colour story I won't call the Empowered palette a must-have, but if these shades are your thing then I do think that this is a fantastic item for you to consider. I've been continually using my palette since I picked it up late last year and have liked every combination of shades I've tried, as everything is very well coordinated.
