EYELINER EFFET FAUX CILS SHOCKING - Bold Felt-Tip Eyeliner Pen

Disappointed

Not water resistant. Doesn’t last even till lunch. Felt tip is nice and precise but tends to smear before drying completely. Needs many coats to to get an even textured line. For an Yves product I was very dissatisfied and disappointed.

I usually love YSL products, but this one was an overall disappointment. The best part of this liner was the precise top. It was very easy to apply and make clean cut eyeliner. Over the course of a couple hours, it had smudged all over my eyelid and my waterline. I does not stay in place at all. It is also very difficult to get off - even with good make up remover. I had to scrub it off because it was smudging somewhere else every time I touched it. I do not enjoy this liquid eyeliner and would recommend another type of eyeliner.

I try a lot of eyeliners, and this one wasn’t one of my favorites. I think it dries out too fast, you have to press down pretty hard to get the darker look I like, and it just goes on kind of “watery” in my opinion. Definitely won’t be buying again.

So easy

So easy to use, lasts a long time compared to YSL SHOCKING mascara

I have super deep double eyelids and this smears everywhere. Granted, I typically don’t wear any eyeshadow, but I’ve never had it be this bad with any other liquid eyeliner I’ve used thus far. If you have double eyelids, I’d say stay away.

Not precise enough

I usually love YSL but this is not a winner in my book, especially for the price. If you're a beginner at winged liner, this is not a good pick at all. The ending tip does not produce enough liquid to create a sharp line - you have to use the entire bulk of the felt, and this makes it nearly impossible to control where you want the liquid to go. I've also had issues with the liquid transferring to my brow, even after applying primer. If you're doing an extreme look with a ton of liner, this might work, but if you need precision and the ability to create fine/clean lines, this isn't what you're looking for.

Very good, high quality. Easy to apply. Love the tip.

If only it was a darker blue!

Love this eyeliner, it's smooth, goes on steadily and stays put. The one thing I wish is that it was more navy than dark cobalt blue. Still, if you're looking for a blue eyeliner, this is a good one.

Sooooo I don't even know how to write this review. I am in a love but sort of hate with this little thing. I love the applicator, I love the darkness of the black... So fierce and gives me a crazy fierce wing but OH my gosh, why is it so dry sometimes? I don't get why it is even dry, is that how it's supposed to be? I have used it three times and each time it's like trying to draw with a dried up paint brush but at the end of it all... My wing slays.

holy grail product

honestly, this product is my go-to #1 eyeliner, and i've tried literally dozens. from drugstore, to tarte's so fine eyeliner, too faced sketch maker, marc jacobs eye liner marquer, sephora brand,stila stay all day, kat von d tattoo marker, makeup forever, etc etc there's just something about this one that gives me the most perfect cat eye. the felt-tip is perfect for cat-eyes and i genuinely think it's worth the price! P.S. I've never had problems with it being not long-lasting, and by that I mean it's no less smudged than any other eyeliner I've tried.

Good Eyeliner

This is a good eyeliner, but requires a strong primer for oily skin to avoid transferring onto the eyelid. The color is opaque, but does tend to fade a bit by the end of the day. The pen tip makes it easy to draw across the eyelid.

Meh

Bought this liner based on reviews and was super happy with the look of the tip but after using it realized I had made a grave mistake, I do have oily skin but this liner had completely smudged all over my lid in 3 hours regardless of my extensive pre-makeup routine. Not impressed and will most likely go back to the kat von d tattoo liner.
