-It’s best to apply Bust Your Brass products on a test strip of hair at the nape of your neck before settling on a routine.

For natural blondes (not color-treated):
-In the summer (when hair is more likely to become brassy), use Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Shampoo and Conditioner (sold separately) every other wash.
-Use Bust Your Brass Repair Mask (sold separately) once a week in place of conditioner.

For platinum blondes:
-To maintain your tone, use Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Shampoo and Conditioner (sold separately) every other wash day.
-For best results, alternate Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Shampoo and Conditioner (sold separately) with The Kure Bond Repair Shampoo and Conditioner for Damaged Hair and Multi-Task Repair Treatment (each sold separately).
-Use Bust Your Brass Repair Mask (sold separately) once a week in place of conditioner.
-If pesky brassiness pops up, use the Bust Your Brass system (sold separately) every wash day until desired tone is reached.
-If you’re loving your tone, keep your routine as is.
-If your tone is a little too icy and veering toward violet, cut back for a week or two.

For color-treated or highlighted blonde hair:
-Use Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Shampoo and Conditioner (sold separately) every other wash day.
-Assess your hair's tone, then increase or decrease usage as needed.
-Individuals with naturally dark hair should use Bust Your Brass Intense Repair Mask (sold separately) once a week in place of conditioner.
-Please note: Naturally darker hair will fight to return to its natural color; in this case, increase usage of the Bust Your Brass system (sold separately).

For gray hair:
-Use Bust Your Brass Blonde Purple Shampoo and Mask (sold separately) every wash day, or alternate every other wash day with The Kure collection (sold separately).
For textured blondes:
-Follow the regimen above based on type of blonde, but use Bust Your Brass Repair Mask (sold separately) in place of conditioner for an extra dose of moisture.

After 5-6 years of being blonde, I finally found the purple shampoo that works the best! Left it in my hair for just a couple min because it was brassy and it looks amazing! Just be careful how long you leave it in! I do for 2-5 min

It works!

I have officially used this shampoo 4 times within the last 2 weeks, leaving it in for 4-5 minutes each time and i can definitely see a difference. My hair went from extremely brassy to a cooler blonde, it even feels more smooth and less damaged. Sadly I don’t have any before photos, I’m sorry!!

New Formula does Nothing

I’ve been using this product along with the conditioner for years and loved it. However the New Formula does nothing. I no longer see the difference and brightness the old formula used to bring. Don’t plan to ever repurchase.

I thought this would help lighten my naturally blonde hair, and it did, but marginally. This also did a number on my hair because of the sulfates. I used the conditioner too.

honestly not sure how this shampoo has such good reviews, did absolutely nothing for my hair. never toned it well if it toned anything at all, and when it did somewhat change my hair it was super uneven. recommended by an employee too
